Victor F. Urrutia, Vice President of Operations of TECO Guatemala joined TECO Power Services in 1996 and during the past 11 years has been a key member of TECO’s investment and operations in Guatemala. He has been involved in power sales contract administration, fuels, accounting, purchasing, information technology and human resources.
Prior to joining TECO, Urrutia worked for Empresa Eléctrica de Guatemala, S.A., the largest Guatemalan utility, for 16 years in the areas of planning, transportation and generation. He was also involved in the construction of the Alborada Power Station.
Urrutia has been a member of the board of directors of the Guatemalan National Association of Generators for the past seven years and is a past president of the board.
He earned a mechanical engineering degree from the San Carlos University in Guatemala in 1982.
